Double Abalone Library Lamp with Cast-Plaster Base and Seashell Shade — Model No. 050

The Double Abalone Library Lamp is the latest release from the Wild Kingdom Collection, a scene-stealing set of maximalist art lamps inspired by the majesty of nature. 

Standing 53.5” tall, Model No. 050 consists of a terra cotta-tinted cast hydrocal-plaster base in the shape of an abalone seashell; a mahogany stained, hand-wrapped papercord-column; and a cantilevered shade crafted from a rare, XXL vintage Red Abalone seashell with a yellow-hued mother-of-pearl interior, sourced from a California collector. 

A fully adjustable heavy-duty swivel at the top of the column allows for fine-tuning of the shade angle and overall silhouette. Unfinished brass hardware, a chocolate-brown cloth-covered cord, vintage-style plug, and Achille Castiglioni-designed push-button floor switch complete the elegant profile of this elegant, all-natural beauty.   

Made-to-order by hand in a numbered, signed edition by artist Christopher Tennant.
