Abalone 'Tuxedo' Task Lamp with Natural Seashell Shade in Coiled Black Leather — Model No. 022B

Introducing the Abalone 'Tuxedo' Task Lamp, the latest member of the Venus Collection, a whimsical family of handmade fixtures inspired by the Surrealists and natural forms of the sea. Employing the latest advances in cool-to-the-touch LED technology, the collection features table lamps and wall sconces made with hand-selected vintage specimen seashells in place of traditional shades, putting the organic source material behind so much 20^th century modernism front and center.

Like its earthier siblings, the sexily serpentine Model No. 022B is a double-jointed riff on that 20^th century staple—the humble desktop task lamp—now dressed up in black leather for more refined settings. It consists of a base and column hand-wrapped in glossy black-leather cord topped by a cantilevered shade crafted from a sustainably sourced, barnacle-encrusted Abalone shell with a blue-and-green-hued mother-of-pearl interior.

Fully adjustable swivels at the top and bottom of the column allow for fine-tuning of the shade angle and overall silhouette. Unfinished brass hardware, a black-and-gold regimental-striped cloth-covered cord, 1940s-style plug and black inline switch complete the elegant profile of this hard-working, sophisticated beauty.
