Sanremo Bamboo Reading Lamp in Coiled Black Leather and Marble with Natural Scallop Shell Shade — Model No. 027

Introducing the Ligurian Collection, a sophisticated family of handmade fixtures in natural sea shell, coiled leather, marble, and bamboo, inspired by the faded splendor of the northern Italian coast.

Model No. 27 features a graduated vintage marble-and-coiled-black-leather base with a lacquered speckled-bamboo column and adjustable white scallop-shell shade, sourced from a Florida collector. Unlacquered-brass hardware, a black cloth-covered cord, and a black inline rocker switch complete the modernist profile. Fully articulated at the shade and base, like Ava Gardner in The Barefoot Contessa, it knows how to strike a pose. 

Made-to-order by hand in New York in a numbered and signed edition by artist Christopher Tennant.
