World's Fair Bamboo Table Lamp with Vintage Japanese Parasol Shade — Model No. 035
The World’s Fair Collection is a family of fixtures handmade in Brooklyn, New York from sustainably sourced and upcycled vintage materials, inspired by the 20th century’s most illustrious cultural expo.
Model No. 035 is a single-edition table lamp featuring a pale yellow rice-paper shade constructed from a vintage children's parasol with black lacquer accents, handmade in Japan, circa 1950.
It sits atop a lacquered natural yellow bamboo column and terra cotta-tinted cast hydrocal-plaster base. Brass fittings, wrapped leather accents, and a chocolate-brown cloth-covered cord with vintage-style plug and inline Euro-style on/off switch complete the modernist profile.
One of one. Handmade in New York by artist Christopher Tennant.
